Central location, quirky, lots of character, lovely helpful staff, bar open all night!
It's advertised as "including Wi-Fi" but this didn't work in my room.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Central Warwick so perfect for exploring the town and the Tourist Information Office is opposite! Although a wedding reception was held that evening we didn't hear it thankfully. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel so unable to comment on the food. Room was small but adequate and there were lovely large towels, and a very efficient shower. We were pleased there was Green Tea on the tea tray!
The hotel is rather tired and in need of refurbishment. It is primarily a business persons hotel, but it is a shame as it is in such a good location that it is not a more 'upmarket' establishment. I don't mean that it should have leisure facilities, but I think it would attract more tourists if it was modernised. The staff though helpful were rather scruffy and seemed a bit dispirited and not overly welcoming. We waited at the desk for several minutes before someone appeared to check us in.

Very convenient location, good car parking, good breakfast and coffee, comfortable, quiet room and good bed.
I thought the hotel was good value for money. The only thing I could have wished for within the price was a larger bath.

Central location close to the Racecourse (where we were heading) and amongst numerous restaurants and Castle. Perfect for our requirements within a budget. Clean and comfortable with complimentary teas/coffees/shower gel/shampoo etc. Choice of teas in room, E.G. Earl Grey and Green Tea, sugar and sugar substitutes which were replenished daily. Staff chatty, polite and helpful. Free car park. Would recommend this character hotel. Strange breakfast arrangements in that nothing was visible and no menu, however, whatever we asked for we got!
No complaints - beds were comfy. The room was clean, we slept really well. Staff were helpful and friendly. Perfect location for our needs

Handy location for Warwick Castle; staff were very helpful but either under staffed of under managed.
Windows and bath areas needed more attention to cleaning off mould. More thought required re breakfast time.ie perhaps a pre order system to ensure availability and help staff!

All of the staff we saw were friendly and extremely helpful, they made the stay a pleasure! The location was excellent as we were attending a function at the castle and it was less than a 5 minute walk, and the bar was still available when we arrived back at 1am.
The room was very basic and needed updating, it was reasonably clean but very small and the shower took ages to come warm, but this certainly did not ruin our stay!

it s been a few years since I last stayed here in which time it s undergone a few improvements . Had one of the larger rooms and all in all it suited our needs . Very handy for town centre and quite welcoming . The plumbing there can be a little eccentric , but overall would stay again

The staff were lovely and helpful. Surprising considering they must have been really up against it in this shoddy hotel.
Comfort. No heating in my room. Paper thin walls and a myriad of corridors to get to your room. In fairness to the staff they changed my room without batting an eyelid. Which probably meant they were used to it.

We stay at The Lord Leycester 3/4 times a year . It is an ideal place because of its location . Close to castle and attractions . In the town centre . We enjoy every stay .
The only down side is that it is always so hot in the rooms ..... Even with radiators off and windows open .
